Sandra Faustino

Sandra Faustino is a researcher at the Research Centre in Economic and Organizational Sociology (SOCIUS/CSG), invited assistant professor of Sociology at the Social Sciences department of the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG/UL), and professor of qualitative methods in the PhD program in Economic and Organizational Sociology (ISEG/UL).

She completed her PhD in Economic and Organizational Sociology in 2022, integrated in the research project 'Finance Beyond Fact and Fiction', coordinated by Daniel Seabra Lopes. Her thesis, 'Selected Tales from Decentralized Finance', provides an examination of different narratives mobilized by teams developing decentralized finance platforms.

Her current postdoctoral research focuses on the innovation economy within the Portuguese jurisdiction, privileging the ethnographic method. In particular, her research seeks to characterize the role played by states in technological innovation. Her work has been published by the Journal of Cultural Economy and Anthropology Today.
